The Bearoids Lore

Where the Gummy Bears Came From

Before The Jiu Jitsu Company was a company—before there was a sign on the door, mats on the floor, or a single paying member—someone brought a bag of gummy bears to training.

We ate them after class.

Then we did it again the next night.

And the night after that.

Somewhere along the way it stopped being a snack and became part of the culture.

Five years later, we have a wall-mounted gummy bear dispenser that holds fifteen pounds at a time. Albanese only. We're not animals.

If you know, you know.

Five Years of the Inner Gummy Bear

When our 5th Anniversary rolled around, there was really only one theme that made sense.

We turned the academy into a neon gummy bear fever dream.

A build-your-own gummy bar. A DJ. Karaoke (some performances should remain undocumented). Catering. LED lighting. Balloon installations. Glowing signs. For one afternoon, the gym looked like a candy store and a nightclub had somehow found common ground on a jiu jitsu mat.

And in the middle of all of it, we launched Bearoids.

Introducing Bearoids

Officially, Bearoids is a limited-edition no-gi kit.

Unofficially, it's a Performance Apparel Supplement packaged in a 64-ounce pharmacy jar and prescribed for chronic rolling.

We'll let the packaging explain itself.

Inside you'll find a reversible short-sleeve rash guard and a pair of hybrid training shorts. But Bearoids isn't just another anniversary graphic—it became a chance for us to push some new ideas we've wanted to explore for a long time.

The Details We're Proud Of

The centerpiece is the reversible rash guard.

Rather than simply printing two different sides, we developed a construction that allows both sides to function as a finished exterior. One side keeps things clean and understated. Flip it inside out and you're greeted by a full gummy bear print that feels completely different.

Two looks. One rash guard.

No exposed seams. No obvious "inside" and "outside." Just whichever version fits the mood that day.

The anniversary logos are finished with raised 3D printing, giving them a textured feel that stands apart from traditional flat graphics.

And the hybrid shorts feature the most comfortable four-way stretch fabric we've used to date—lightweight, flexible, and built to move with you through every scramble, shot, and terrible decision.

More Than a Kit

Bearoids is really a celebration of five years of training together.

Five years of classes.

Five years of friendships.

Five years of hard rounds, inside jokes, and handfuls of gummy bears eaten while sitting on the edge of the mat after training.

It's a small piece of JJC history packaged into a no-gi set.

And like the bottom of the gummy bear dispenser on a Friday night, once it's gone, it's gone.

Train hard. Be nice. Eat gummy bears.
