FIT NOTES (IMPORTANT)
All height and weight ranges listed above are general guidelines, not exact prescriptions. Body composition, limb length, shoulder width, and personal fit preference (looser vs. competition fit) can all significantly affect how a gi fits.
Additionally, some gis—especially cotton models—may experience shrinkage after washing, even when following care instructions. If you are between sizes, consider how you prefer your fit and whether you plan to air dry or machine dry when selecting your size.
When in doubt, sizing up for length or down for a more tailored fit are both valid choices depending on your goals.
WOMEN’S FIT NOTES
Our women’s cuts are designed with a more contoured fit:
– Slightly tapered sleeves and pants
– Narrower shoulders
– More room through the hips
– A slightly higher rise in the back of the pants
That said, not every athlete will prefer a gender-specific cut. Many female grapplers—especially those with longer limbs or a straighter build—find that men’s “A” sizes provide a better overall fit.
There is no strict one-to-one conversion between women’s and men’s sizes, but if you’re considering crossing over into an “A” size, we’re happy to help—just send your height, weight, and general build, and we’ll point you in the right direction.
